🌍 Who are we?
Operating across Europe and Asia, WeMaintain specialises in the maintenance and modernisation of lifts, escalators, automatic doors and fire safety systems, combining on-the-ground expertise with technology and data.
Our approach is built on a simple belief: maintenance can be more reliable, transparent and efficient when teams have the right tools, the autonomy to make decisions and clear visibility over the equipment they look after.
Since 2026, Otis has been our majority shareholder. WeMaintain continues to operate independently, maintaining its own organisation and culture while benefiting from additional resources to support our growth.
The way we work is guided by three core values:
Care: treating colleagues and customers with respect, consideration and responsibility
Grit: seeing things through with determination, perseverance and high standards
Uniqueness: embracing different perspectives, fresh ideas and new ways of doing things
Our ambition is to raise the standards of building maintenance, alongside the people who make it happen every day.
👀 Why are we building this Talent Pool?
This is not an advertisement for a currently open vacancy.
As WeMaintain continues to develop its UK operations, we're keen to connect with experienced Lift Service & Callout Engineers who might be interested in joining us in the future.
Rather than waiting until a position becomes available, we'd like to get to know professionals who take pride in their technical expertise, enjoy working independently and are committed to delivering reliable, high-quality maintenance services.
By joining our Talent Pool, you'll have the opportunity to hear about future roles across the UK that could match your experience, preferred location and career aspirations.
When a relevant position becomes available, we may get in touch with the key details, including location, responsibilities, working arrangements and salary.
The idea? Let's get to know each other today, so we can explore working together when the right opportunity comes along.
🔎 The Service & Callout Engineer role at WeMaintain
As a Service & Callout Engineer, you'll play a key role in keeping lifts running safely and reliably across our customers' buildings.
From routine maintenance to responding to breakdowns, your technical expertise and proactive approach will help ensure equipment remains safe, efficient and available.
Depending on the opportunity, your responsibilities could include:
Carrying out planned preventative maintenance on lift systems across a portfolio of customer sites
Attending breakdowns and callouts, diagnosing faults and carrying out safe, effective repairs
Identifying potential issues before they become major problems and recommending appropriate corrective actions
Building positive relationships with customers, providing clear updates and delivering a professional service on-site
Maintaining accurate service records, sharing technical feedback and working closely with our Operations and Engineering teams
The role involves regular travel between customer sites and requires a strong commitment to safety, quality and customer satisfaction.
The exact responsibilities, geographical coverage and callout arrangements will depend on the opportunity available.
🔧 What makes this role different at WeMaintain?
At WeMaintain, we believe engineers do their best work when they're trusted, supported and given the right tools.
Here's what makes our approach different:
Real autonomy: take ownership of your maintenance portfolio, make technical decisions and manage your day-to-day work with confidence
Technology that supports you: use our digital tools and data to better understand equipment performance and work more efficiently
A collaborative environment: benefit from the support of technical specialists and operational teams who value your expertise and feedback
The opportunity to make an impact: help improve maintenance practices, share ideas and contribute to raising industry standards
We value engineers who take pride in their work, approach problems with curiosity and know that great maintenance goes beyond simply fixing what's broken.
👑 Who are we looking for?
We'd love to connect with experienced Lift Engineers who combine strong technical skills with a proactive, safety-conscious and customer-focused approach.
The essentials
Relevant qualifications in Lift Engineering, ideally NVQ Level 3 or an equivalent recognised qualification or level of experience
Solid experience in lift servicing, preventative maintenance, fault-finding and repairs
Strong mechanical and electrical diagnostic skills
The ability to work independently, manage priorities and respond effectively to technical issues
A commitment to health and safety, quality and excellent customer service
Nice to have
Experience working across different lift manufacturers and equipment types
Previous experience in a non-OEM or independent maintenance environment
Familiarity with digital maintenance tools, connected equipment or IoT technologies
These would certainly be advantages, but they're not all essential. If you have strong experience in lift maintenance but don't tick every box, we'd still encourage you to apply.
🎁 What do we offer?
The exact package will depend on the opportunity available, but here's what future Service & Callout Engineer positions at WeMaintain UK may offer:
A competitive base salary reflecting your experience, qualifications and location. For reference, a previous Bristol-based opportunity offered £45,000 to £56,000 gross per annum
A field-based role with genuine autonomy and ownership over your maintenance portfolio
The tools, equipment and technical support needed to carry out your responsibilities effectively
The opportunity to work across different lift systems and develop your technical expertise
A supportive team and a culture built on trust, transparency and respect
Opportunities for professional development and internal mobility
[Company vehicle, on-call allowances, overtime arrangements or additional benefits, where applicable]
The exact salary, location, working hours, callout arrangements and benefits will be clearly communicated when a relevant opportunity becomes available.

3. We get back in touch when a relevant opportunity arises
When a suitable Service & Callout Engineer position becomes available, we may contact you with the key details, including responsibilities, location, working arrangements and salary.
