Project Manager - Modernisation and New Install
Join a team that leads with care, works with grit, and values what makes each of us unique.
We usually respond within a week
🌍 Who are we?
In 2017, after more than ten years in the lift industry across Europe and Asia, Benoît Dupont noticed a system stuck in its ways where speed takes priority over quality and frontline teams remain invisible.
With Jade Francine and Tristan Foureur, he founded WeMaintain to put technology, trust and people back at the heart of building maintenance. Their ambition: give technicians back their autonomy, rely on in-house IoT technology, and deliver a service designed for users and clients.
Based in Paris, London, Singapore and Hong Kong, we maintain lifts, escalators, automatic doors and fire safety systems. With 300+ employees, we combine on-the-ground expertise with data-driven management to deliver high-performing, transparent, and sustainable maintenance.
We don’t just maintain buildings. We transform how they’re operated.
👥 Why join us?
Because here, you don’t have to choose between autonomy and stability.
Large groups often offer stability, but little room to manoeuvre. Smaller organisations allow more freedom, but sometimes without clear direction.
At WeMaintain, we strike the right balance:
Real autonomy, with modern tools and strong support
A culture built on trust, transparency and respect
Genuine opportunities for growth and internal mobility
A team that values commitment, perseverance and the drive to make things happen
And our values guide us every day:
Care: Working with respect and kindness, internally as well as with our customers
Grit: Seeing things through, with high standards and determination
Uniqueness: Daring to be yourself, sharing your ideas and challenging the status quo
👀 Who we’re looking for?
We are looking for a Project Manager (Modernisation & New Install) to join our Modernisation team in London.
In this role, you will lead the end-to-end delivery of lift modernisation and new installation projects, ensuring they are delivered safely, on time, on budget, and to a high-quality standard, with an outstanding experience for clients and stakeholders.
📌 Your day-to-day at WeMaintain
Own end-to-end delivery of lift modernisation and new install projects: from kick-off and planning through to commissioning and handover
Manage multiple projects in parallel, balancing priorities across site constraints, suppliers, access windows, and stakeholder expectations
Build and maintain robust project plans (programme, milestones, resourcing), and keep delivery on track through clear follow-up and accountability
Lead coordination on site with installation teams, subcontractors and suppliers, ensuring smooth execution and high-quality workmanship
Be the main point of contact for clients, consultants, and key stakeholders, proactive communication, clear expectations, no surprises
Own the commercial control of your projects: budgets, variations, forecasting, and reporting (with a strong grip on risks and mitigations)
Ensure compliance and documentation are consistently high: RAMS, permits, technical files, site records, and handover packs
Drive safety and quality every day: strong site presence when needed, a “do it right” mindset, and a zero-compromise approach on H&S
Run testing, commissioning, and final handover, ensuring projects are closed properly and transitioned smoothly to the next teams
Work closely with Sales for handover & alignment, particularly at the start of projects to lock scope, expectations, and stakeholder mapping
Working pattern: this is a field-facing role with regular site visits across London and Greater London, combined with structured project control time (planning, reporting, stakeholder management). The split varies by phase, but you can expect 2 to 4 days per week on site on average.
👑 What we're looking for
You’re a great fit if you:
Have significant, hands-on Project Management experience in the lift industry (modernisation and/or new installations)
Are comfortable leading technically complex, high-stakes projects and making decisions to move things forward
Have strong knowledge of lift systems, site delivery constraints, and UK safety standards
Bring excellent planning, organisation, and stakeholder management skills (clients, consultants, internal teams, subcontractors)
Are commercially sharp: confident managing budgets, variations, risk, and delivery forecasting
Communicate clearly and consistently, you create alignment and trust, even when under pressure
Take pride in quality and safety: you don’t cut corners, you raise the bar
🌟 Bonus points if
You’ve managed both modernisation packages and new installations (including multi-unit / multi-stakeholder environments)
You hold relevant UK site safety qualifications such as SMSTS or SSSTS (or equivalent)
You have formal project management certification such as PRINCE2, APM (PMQ/PPQ), PMP, or equivalent
You’re comfortable with common PM tooling (e.g., MS Project / Smartsheet / Excel, reporting dashboards)
You have experience working with consultants / main contractors / client-side PMs
You bring strong strengths in risk management, programme recovery, or client communication
🔥 What success looks like
You consistently deliver projects with strong safety performance, high quality, and clear documentation
You hit key KPIs across programme adherence, budget control, variation management, and customer satisfaction
Stakeholders experience a “calm, controlled” delivery: clear plans, clear comms, clean handovers
You build great working relationships internally (Ops / Engineering / Supply chain / Sales) and help the team level up through better ways of working
🎁 What we offer
A role with real ownership and the ability to make an impact on how projects are delivered
A supportive team and manager, with a culture of trust, transparency, and respect
A mission-driven company with a high bar for quality and safety
Ongoing development: exposure to diverse projects + support for professional growth
