Head of Sales - Lift Service & Modernisation - M/F/X
Take ownership of our Singapore commercial reset: rebuild the sales engine, win new lift service & modernisation business, and create the structure needed for sustainable growth.
We usually respond within a week
🌍 Who are we?
Operating across Europe and Asia, WeMaintain specialises in the maintenance and modernisation of lifts, escalators, automatic doors and fire safety systems, combining hands-on technical expertise with technology and data.
Our approach is built on a simple belief: maintenance can be more reliable, transparent and effective when teams have the right tools, the autonomy to make decisions and a clear understanding of what's happening across the equipment they look after.
Since 2026, Otis has been our majority shareholder. WeMaintain continues to operate independently, retaining its own organisation and culture while benefiting from additional resources to support our growth.
Three core values guide the way we work every day:
Care (looking after others): treating colleagues and customers with respect, consideration and a genuine sense of responsibility.
Grit (determination): seeing things through with high standards, commitment and perseverance.
Uniqueness (being different): embracing different perspectives, fresh ideas and new ways of doing things.
Our ambition is to raise the standards of maintenance, alongside the people who make it happen every day.
👀 Why we're hiring
We're looking for a Head of Sales – Lift Service & Modernisation to lead our commercial activity in Singapore.
This is a replacement hire, but more importantly, it represents an opportunity to reshape our commercial approach and build a stronger foundation for sustainable growth in Singapore.
We have an established local operation, an existing customer base and significant market opportunities. Our ambition is now to bring greater structure, consistency and proactive new-business development to our sales activities.
You'll inherit an existing business and pipeline, working closely with Samson, Managing Director Singapore, Cheryl, Global Head of Sales, and our Operations, Finance and wider leadership teams.
The main purpose of this role will be to build a predictable, high-performing commercial engine while personally driving new business across lift maintenance, service and modernisation.
🔎 What makes this role different at WeMaintain?
This position goes beyond traditional sales leadership. You won't simply inherit a mature sales organisation with fully established processes, perfect CRM data and a predictable pipeline.
You'll have the autonomy and responsibility to build, challenge and improve the commercial foundations needed for our next stage of growth.
In practice, you'll be responsible for:
Building a proactive new-business strategy, reducing our reliance on incoming tenders and identifying the most promising market opportunities.
Identifying priority accounts, customer portfolios and market segments where WeMaintain should focus its commercial efforts.
Personally developing relationships with building owners, managing agents, consultants and public-sector stakeholders.
Generating and closing opportunities across lift maintenance, service, modernisation and replacement.
Strengthening commercial discipline, including prospecting, qualification, Salesforce usage, pipeline management and forecasting.
Reviewing pricing strategies, tendering practices and commercial decision-making to improve profitability.
Working closely with Operations to ensure commercial commitments are technically deliverable and financially sustainable.
Developing strategic account plans for key customers and prospects.
Assessing the existing commercial organisation and helping define the structure and capabilities required for future growth.
Coaching and developing sales team members, encouraging stronger ownership, accountability and performance.
And importantly: you won't just manage sales. You'll sell.
We're looking for someone who genuinely enjoys being in front of customers, opening doors, creating opportunities and closing business.
You'll have significant autonomy to challenge existing practices and shape our commercial approach in Singapore, while working within a collaborative local and international environment.
Beyond these initial priorities, the scope of the role may evolve as the business grows and new opportunities emerge.
👑 Who we're looking for
Above all, we're looking for someone who combines strong lift industry expertise, commercial drive and hands-on leadership.
Your experience matters, but we're equally interested in your ability to take ownership, challenge the status quo and translate a commercial strategy into tangible business results.
You should be just as comfortable defining the direction as you are personally progressing a strategic opportunity.
What you'll need
Significant commercial experience within the lift/elevator industry.
Strong knowledge of lift maintenance, service and/or modernisation.
A proven track record of personally winning new business, rather than exclusively managing existing accounts.
A solid understanding of the Singapore lift market, its customers, procurement practices and competitive landscape.
Experience leading, coaching or developing salespeople.
Strong commercial and financial understanding, including pricing, margins, technical constraints and operational risks associated with service contracts.
Experience managing complex tenders, negotiations and long sales cycles.
The ability to build, manage and forecast a structured sales pipeline.
A hands-on leadership approach, combining strategic thinking with direct commercial involvement.
Strong communication and collaboration skills, with an open and transparent approach to working with local and global stakeholders.
Professional fluency in English.
What would make you stand out
An established network among managing agents, building owners, consultants or public-sector organisations in Singapore.
Previous experience with a major OEM or an established independent lift service provider.
A strong track record of winning recurring maintenance portfolios.
Familiarity with GeBiz or other public-sector procurement processes in Singapore.
Experience with Salesforce or another structured CRM environment.
Experience building, restructuring or professionalising a sales organisation.
A strong understanding of how Sales and Operations can work together to drive sustainable profitability.
These are genuine advantages, but they're not all essential. If you feel the core responsibilities match your experience and you identify with the way we work, we'd really encourage you to apply.
💡 What you should know before joining us
We believe in being upfront about what a role involves. This position comes with:
A genuine transformation challenge: not every commercial process is fully structured today, and you'll be expected to identify what needs to change.
A balance between strategy and execution: you'll need to drive immediate commercial results while creating the foundations for longer-term performance.
Significant ownership and accountability: you'll make decisions, challenge existing approaches and help shape the local commercial organisation.
A hands-on commercial expectation: developing opportunities and winning business personally will remain an important part of your role.
Close cross-functional collaboration: strong alignment with Operations, Finance and the wider leadership team will be essential.
In return, you'll have the opportunity to directly influence our position in the Singapore lift market, shape the future sales organisation and contribute to strategic growth decisions.
This position will particularly suit someone who enjoys building, improving and winning, and who thrives in an environment where initiative and independent thinking are genuinely valued.
It may be less suited to someone looking for a fully established commercial structure, a narrowly defined scope or a leadership role focused exclusively on managing others.

What matters most to us is what you can bring to the role, how you think, how you collaborate with others and the impact you could have at WeMaintain.
We value diversity in backgrounds, experiences and perspectives, and we're committed to creating an inclusive working environment. Every application is considered fairly, regardless of background, gender, age, disability, sexual orientation, beliefs or personal circumstances.
