Head of Sales – Lift Maintenance & Modernisation
Lead our Singapore sales team across lift service and modernisation. A hands-on leadership role: structure and step up our commercial engine, and sell.
We usually respond within a week
🌍 Who are we?
Operating across Europe and Asia, WeMaintain specialises in the maintenance and modernisation of lifts and escalators, combining hands-on technical expertise with technology and data.
Our approach is built on a simple belief: maintenance can be more reliable, transparent and effective when teams have the right tools, the autonomy to make decisions and a clear understanding of what’s happening across the equipment they look after.
Since 2026, Otis has been our majority shareholder. WeMaintain continues to operate independently, retaining its own organisation and culture while benefiting from additional resources to support our growth.
Three core values guide the way we work every day:
Care (looking after others): treating colleagues and customers with respect, consideration and a genuine sense of responsibility.
Grit (determination): seeing things through with high standards, commitment and perseverance.
Uniqueness (being different): embracing different perspectives, fresh ideas and new ways of doing things.
Our ambition is to raise the standards of maintenance, alongside the people who make it happen every day.
👀 Why we're hiring
We’re looking for a Head of Sales – Lift Service & Modernisation to lead our commercial activity in Singapore.
This is a replacement hire, but more importantly an opportunity to reshape our commercial approach. We have an established local operation, an existing customer base and significant market opportunities. Our ambition is now to structure and step up our commercial activity: more consistency, more proactive new business and less reliance on incoming tenders.
You’ll take a multi-brand offer to the market, where technology and data give customers real visibility on their equipment, combining the agility of WeMaintain with the solidity of Otis behind us. You’ll manage a team of three salespeople, including our newly created modernisation sales role.
You’ll report to Samson, Managing Director Singapore, and work closely with Cheryl, Global Head of Sales, as well as our Operations and Finance teams. The role is based in Singapore, with hybrid working.
🔎 What you’ll do
Build a proactive new-business strategy, reducing our reliance on incoming tenders and focusing on priority accounts and segments.
Personally develop relationships with building owners, managing agents, consultants and public-sector stakeholders.
Generate and close opportunities across lift maintenance, service, modernisation and replacement.
Strengthen commercial discipline: prospecting, qualification, Salesforce usage, pipeline management and forecasting.
Review pricing, tendering practices and commercial decision-making to improve profitability.
Work with Operations to make sure commitments are technically deliverable and financially sustainable.
Develop strategic account plans for key customers and prospects.
Lead, coach and develop the sales team, and help define its future structure.
And importantly: you won’t just manage sales. You’ll sell.
👑 Who we’re looking for
Above all, someone who combines strong lift industry expertise, commercial drive and hands-on leadership. You should be as comfortable defining the direction as personally progressing a strategic opportunity.
What you’ll need
Significant commercial experience in the lift industry, across maintenance, service and/or modernisation
A proven track record of personally winning new business, not only managing existing accounts
A solid understanding of the Singapore lift market, its customers, procurement practices and competitive landscape
Experience leading, coaching or developing salespeople
Strong commercial and financial acumen: pricing, margins and the operational risks of service contracts
Experience with complex tenders, negotiations and long sales cycles
The ability to build, manage and forecast a structured sales pipeline
A hands-on leadership approach, combining strategic thinking with direct commercial involvement
Professional fluency in English
What would make you stand out
An established network among managing agents, building owners, consultants or public-sector organisations in Singapore
Experience with a major OEM or an established independent lift service provider
A track record of winning recurring maintenance portfolios
Familiarity with GeBiz or other public-sector procurement processes
Experience building, restructuring or professionalising a sales organisation
Familiarity with Salesforce or another CRM
💡 What you should know before joining us
We believe in being upfront about what this role involves:
A genuine transformation challenge: not every commercial process is fully structured today, and you’ll be expected to identify what needs to change.
A balance between strategy and execution: delivering results now while building the foundations for longer-term performance.
Real ownership: you’ll make decisions, challenge existing approaches and help shape the local commercial organisation.
This role will particularly suit someone who enjoys building, improving and winning. It may be less suited to someone looking for a fully established structure, or for a leadership role focused only on managing others.
